As you know we received our email on Monday (Memorial Day) saying we are OUT of IBESR. We emailed the US Embassy to schedule our appointment to file our I600, which they said could take 7 days for a response. Well, we sent the email on Monday night & we received the email with our appointment on Thursday. Our appointment is on Tuesday, June 19th at 8am. We are also appearing in Higher Court while there (not sure which day, but hope to hear on Monday for sure). Now that everything has a day & time, it's time to book our flight...and we did just that!!!
Haley (our 14 year old daughter) & I will be traveling down together this trip. This will be my third visit to Haiti and Haley's second visit. She wanted to go back this summer, so I excited she is able to go with me. Brittany (our 15 year old daughter) wants to go again soon too, so I think she will be going with us when we bring the kids home.
We leave on Friday, June 15th and arrive in Port-au-Prince at noon on Saturday, June 16th. We will get to hold our little ones for 5 days :) We will be traveling home on Thursday, June 21st. The next trip down after this one will hopefully be to bring-em-home!!!
